Practice/tryouts will start today, July 9th 2009. They will be held at the Sarasota Football Club Field #2 starting at 7pm. SFC Real encourages all new players and returning players to join the team for an aggressive session. The team had a very succcessful year last year and look to make their mark on the premier division. That's Right! Real was promoted to Premier Division after winning the 1st division last year. The more than impressive 2008-2009 season came to a close early Sunday afternoon. After a host of accomplishments, SFC Real, the Sarasota Football Club's 1st Division representative. A great crowd showed up for the 11am match verse rivals Largo United.

The State Semi-Final
SFC Real was determined to raise the State Cup trophy for a third year in a row. The road to the semi-final was very short but the competition would prove to be fierce. Standing in their way; National Amateur Cup Champions 2008, Tampa Bay Kickers. The coach of the Kickers, Stever Gogas, has been leading his team to victory for over 10 years. The squad is incredible strong as possession while giving support to their teammates throughout the season. |

Real wins Division One Title! |

In what become a very close race for the top position in the FSSL 1st division, Real edged out the Aztecs to claim their 1st Division title in the teams 3 year history. Should FSSL choose to accept SFC Real into the Premier Division, the team will move up to play at the highest level in the league.To see the full end of the year standings, click here. It was an exceptional year for the team who boasted record goals, goal differentials, and teamwork. The Thursday evening training sessions would often bring 20 players to attend. Coach McMaster was consistently present to organize the training all while maintaining a great record. In the 13 division 1 games, Real scored a remarkable 50 goals whilst only allowing 20 for a positive goal differential of 30. In 6 Premier cross-over games, Real scored 18 goals and allowed 14. "The team did very well. It is exciting as a coach to see such great progress from a talented group of guys," commented Coach Chris McMaster. The Division 1 championship game will be played on Sunday May 31st at SFC Real's home field at 11am. Come support your league title winners! |
