The third crossover game of the season for Real occured this past Sunday at the Sarasota Football Club. Real came into the game undefeated in crossover games and 8 - 0 - 1 in the FSSL 1st division. The game was cracking and hard fought to say the least. Both teams felt like there was something to prove. Real, they had to prove there were one of the best teams in the FSSL while Bosnia had to uphold their victory over Real last year. Certainly, Real is a much different team this season despite having mostly the same personnel. |

For the second weekend in a row, SFC Real had to face a tough competitor. This Sunday it was SPSC Hurricanes from St. Pete. Hurricanes moved up into the premier division early in the season to help fill some voids with the amount of teams only being 5. Consequently, Hurricanes would be involved in the crossover games like every other team in the Premier and 1st Division. |

Real faced a tough competitor last week and came up two goals short of a victory. Today was about getting back to the plan of attack and working together as they always do. When watching Real, a spectator can sometimes lose count of the consecutive passes. This fundamental is echoed by Coach McMaster at Real's weekly training session. Today's opponent was Dunedin Sterling 1st Division. The away game was played on a narrow field which can sometimes give Real possession problems since they are so used to 120 yards by 80 yards (their home field). The first twenty minutes were a bit ragged by both teams. Real was pressing hard while keeping Dunedin from attacking. The first couple shots were driven right to the Sterling goalkeeper. 25 minutes into the first half, Real would break the scoreless game with a nicely played ball from Sean Maloney to Adam DeClerico. Adam dribble down the sideline and picked out forward Justin Niemann. The ball was first-timed by Niemann into the back of Dunedin's net. The first half would come to a stop with the score resting at 1 - 0. |
